From the moment the day began, it felt so elegant, effortless, and deeply emotional in the best way. The Peach Orchard set the tone beautifully, too. There was a luxurious, light-filled getting ready space that was perfect for portraits, outdoor grounds filled with the prettiest greenery, and timeless architectural details that made every moment feel elevated. Add in a vintage white classic car (truly the cherry on top), and the entire day unfolded like a seamless, romantic celebration of their love.

What made this wedding especially meaningful, though, was how fully Caitlin and Jake allowed themselves (and everyone around them!) to experience it. They weren’t performing for the camera or rushing past the emotions of the day. They cherished them. And so did their parents, their friends, and their guests. That’s where my heart lives as a photographer: capturing the fleeting, unscripted moments that often go unnoticed, like the quiet tears, the proud glances, and the laughter. This wedding was everything I love about what I do, and The Peach Orchard venue was the perfect backdrop for telling their story honestly, beautifully, and with so much heart.

Some of my favorite moments from Caitlin and Jake’s wedding were the ones that couldn’t be planned. Before the ceremony, they shared a quiet first touch, away from everyone else. When Jake reached for Caitlin’s hand, he immediately broke down in tears. It was so tender and completely unfiltered—the kind of moment that only exists when space is made for real emotion.
That same depth carried through Caitlin’s relationship with her grandfather. With her father having passed away years ago, she chose to share a first look and a dance with her grandfather, and later, he walked her down the aisle. It was so precious. I’ll never forget it! Moments like these are why documentary-style wedding photography matters so much to me. It’s not just about capturing what happens, but preserving the story behind it—the love, the legacy, and the people who shaped the day. These are the images meant to be felt and passed down for generations.
