I'm Shelby, a fine art wedding and portrait photographer with over nine years of experience under my belt. I am based in Houston, Texas, but I am available for travel worldwide. My photography style is a fusion of thoughtful fine-art imagery and candid documentary. I have always had a deep fondness for weddings and believe it is a profound privilege to be chosen to preserve the beauty, emotion, and details of a couple's special day.
I am always ready with my camera in hand, anticipating and seizing moments as they naturally unfold, and ensuring a genuine representation of your wedding celebration. I firmly believe that you should wholly experience your wedding day, so I only step in and provide direction when necessary. Each couple, wedding, and love story is unique and special - and I strive to create photographs that reflect who you are together.

Raised in the vibrant city of San Antonio, my journey with photography truly blossomed at Texas A&M University, where I discovered the joy of freezing moments in time and celebrating the unique stories of each person and couple I photograph.
My philosophy behind photographing weddings and people is deeply rooted in my faith. I believe that God has gifted me with these abilities to serve others, celebrate love, and honor Him in every frame. I find immense joy in memorializing the fleeting, irreplaceable moments because it is moments such as these that make life truly beautiful. Whether it's the joyous laughter shared between you and your husband or the tender, authentic interactions between your family members, I strive to capture these cherished memories in a way that is true-to-life. My editing style reflects this philosophy—rich in color and true to the moment, ensuring that each image is as genuine and unique as the love it portrays.
Speaking of color, I absolutely love it! The more, the better. I believe that color brings out the joy and beauty of life, and I make it a point to highlight this in my work. My aim is to deliver a gallery of photos that are not dark and moody or overly light and airy, but genuinely true to the moments they represent.
Family is incredibly important to me. My husband and I have been together for over seven years, married for nearly three, and our journey together has been the best gift. Understanding the significance of family bonds, I prioritize capturing genuine interactions and emotions on wedding days, ensuring that the love and connection between you and your most cherished ones shine through in every photograph.
When I'm not behind the camera, you might find me enjoying slow mornings with a glass of iced coffee, indulging in my unhealthy obsession with Taco Bell, or diving into a good book.

I have always been as a hopeless romantic and deeply sentimental person. I believe that there is irreplaceable beauty and value in the here-and-gone-again moments of a wedding day - and so do my clients. My couples value being wholly present for each moment and prioritize their wedding day experience. They want to be fully engaged in each minute of their day and soak in all the emotions that follows. When my clients hire me to document their most cherished memories, I believe that they are hiring me for my ability to tell their love story through my lens.
My couples are giddy in love and beyond excited to get married. They view marriage as the joining together of two people into one flesh - and intend to honor the importance of it. My clients are chatty, down-to-earth, love to laugh and believe wholeheartedly that preserving memories and the emotion that comes with them outweighs the importance of receiving a gallery of "perfect shots."
