I'm Shelby, a fine art wedding and portrait photographer with over nine years of experience under my belt. I am based in Houston, Texas, but I am available for travel worldwide. My photography style is a fusion of thoughtful fine-art imagery and candid documentary. I have always had a deep fondness for weddings and believe it is a profound privilege to be chosen to preserve the beauty, emotion, and details of a couple's special day.
I am always ready with my camera in hand, anticipating and seizing moments as they naturally unfold, and ensuring a genuine representation of your wedding celebration. I firmly believe that you should wholly experience your wedding day, so I only step in and provide direction when necessary. Each couple, wedding, and love story is unique and special - and I strive to create photographs that reflect who you are together.
When I am not behind the camera, you can probably find me at home with my husband and our three cats, or at the nearest Taco Bell. My faith plays a large part in the way I run my business. I am entirely grateful to God for blessing me with a career where I can be creative and serve people in the process. I'm an outgoing and energetic soul who wants nothing more than to celebrate couples in the midst of their engagement season and on the most exciting day of their lives.

After almost nine full years of capturing the sweetest wedding days and the most incredible couples, I feel obliged to boast about the Lord for everything He has done for me and this small business over the years. What started out as a hobby in college quickly became a dream and even more rapidly became a reality for me - and that could not have happened without the abundant grace and provision of God.
When I look back over the course of my journey with photography, I am continually overcome with emotion and the utmost gratitude because it is so plainly evident that the Lord was quietly moving on my behalf and was paving a way for this business to come to fruition. It was the Lord who ignited a curiosity in me that ultimately lead me to choose to take photography as an elective credit at Texas A&M University nine years ago. He was there when I fell in love with documenting people and preserving moments. He walked with me as I grew and gained experience behind the camera, and drew near to me when I lacked confidence in my abilities, struggled with feeling inadequate and almost left it all behind. He’s provided me with opportunities I never thought I’d have the chance to experience and expanded this business enough to make photography my full time job.
This business is more to me than just a business. It’s a gift from the Lord Himself and I fully intend to continue to honor Him through my work. I am beyond thankful for this career, and I am continually in awe of Him and the work of His hands.

I have always identified as a hopeless romantic and deeply sentimental person. I believe that there is irreplaceable beauty and value in the fleeting moments of a wedding day - and so do my clients. My couples value being wholly present for each moment and prioritize their wedding day experience. They want to be fully engaged in each minute of their day and soak in all the emotions that follows. When my clients hire me to document their most cherished memories, I believe that they are hiring me for my ability to tell their love story through my lens.
My couples are giddy in love and beyond excited to get married. They view marriage as the joining together of two people into one flesh - and intend to honor the importance of it. My clients are chatty, down-to-earth, love to laugh and believe wholeheartedly that preserving memories and the emotion that comes with them outweighs the importance of receiving a gallery of "perfect shots."
